Another fun highlight of the last 6 months was Kevin and my trip to the San Diego zoo in March! It was quite dramatic trying to get there (Kevin's car being blocked in, traffic, and rain) but once we were there everything worked out. The clouds went away and we had amazing weather for the 5 or so hours we spent at the zoo.
It was really fun to do something different and when we weren't at the zoo we had amaaaaazing food (you would have gone crazy with the camera, Chloe) at a steakhouse called Lou & Mickey's in the Gaslamp Quarter, which is San Diego's main downtown where all the best restaurants and nightlife are... we even read that one of the guys from Bravo's "Top Chef" works at one of the restaurants!
So scrumtrulescent... so fun... I definitely recommend San Diego to anyone looking for an easy, fun mini-trip!
